Why hello there!
Long time, no see! Well, I know I wrote yesterday but I also know I havenโt been sharing or promoting or posting my bonus entries for subscribers ๐ณ. Iโll tell you a secret: writing is hard. Writing about your life and your feelings and your mental anguish, even harder. But Iโll tell you another secret: itโs been really, really worth it.
WHAT I LEARNED:
The October CHANGE Challenge was a tough one for me. I learned a lot of things about myself and my thoughts, and the process of bringing that inner work to the outside took a lot out of me. I wrote a lot about changing myself and the world around me. So now that weโre in November, I want to show myself and my life a little love.
HOW THIS WORKS:
Weโre doing this a little differently this time around. Instead of 30 prompts for every day like we did in September, or one prompt assigned to every week like we did in October, in November there are 10 unique prompts about LOVE. And we can write to whichever one we want!
Iโll pick one prompt from the list and Iโll publish an entry every Monday starting November 6.
On Wednesday, the bonus newsletter for subscribers will still come out. It will include insights into Mondayโs entry as well as writing exercises and inspirational quotes to help keep you motivated. If youโd like to receive these fun little extras, please consider becoming a paid subscriber.ย
And hereโs something fun! On Friday, weโre gonna do a little freestyle. Fridays are for freewriting! Thereโs a lot going on in the world and maybe your thoughts canโt be confined to a singular prompt. So starting November 3, Fridays will be a time dedicated to writing about whatever you want. I might give a few paragraphs, I might just send yโall a little note, I might actually freestyle a song! Free Write Fridays will be open to everyone. If you want to participate, send me an email: jdoggett9 [@] gmail.
I started Finding the Right Words to fall back in love with writing again, to get my words out of my head and into the world. It hasnโt always been easy and challenging yourself isnโt always fun. Hereโs to a new month and a new challenge and hopefully a new, more positive energy through which we can look at life.
Happy Writing! ๐
